The Finance Division of the Administrative Services Department provides a number of services including:
Budget management and reporting
Financial accounting and reporting
Financial analysis and planning
Processing all accounts payable, payroll, and related business activities for the City of Laramie
Additionally, the Finance Division provides the City Council and management staff with monthly updates on all City expenditures and revenues to monitor for budget aberrations, as well as providing any necessary and required reports regarding the City's financial condition. The division also manages the City's cash resources so as to ensure a maximum return on Laramie's assets and funds. Overall, Finance Division staff provides a desired level of liquidity with the City's resources while maximizing to the returns within a relatively low-risk level.
